WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Koalaty Bakery is based in Lichfield, WS13 8FN, arranged collection available.
DO YOU HAVE A SHOP?
We don't have a physical shop but we offer collection and delivery (up to 20 miles from Lichfield).
DO YOU MAKE FONDANT CAKES?
I specialise in buttercream cakes and do not work with any fondant. You are welcome to send over a fondant cake photo which I'll be able to do my own style using buttercream.
HOW IS MY TREAT BOX ORDER SENT?
Treat boxes are available for collection and nationwide delivery. For nationwide delivery, we use the Royal Mail 24 service. This is usually a NEXT DAY service, but can sometimes take up to 2 days to arrive depending on postal traffic.
CAN I DELAY DELIVERY DATE FOR MY ORDER?
No, we only treat boxes once a month on specific dates, we're unable to delay or dispatch earlier than the date stated at check out.
IS ALL YOUR ITEMS 100% VEGAN?
Absolutely! We are a 100% Vegan Bakery, owned and run by a vegan baker! Although, please note all our products are not suitable for anyone who suffers from an allergen.
CAN I FREEZE ANYTHING?
Yes! Most cakes and baked goods are freezable. You can cut the cake into slices, wrap each one tightly in cling film and freeze them. When desired, take desired amount out of the freezer and defrost in the microwave. After they're defrosted, warm it up slightly to bring back the texture and soften.
HOW MUCH IS DELIVERY?
We can delivery up to 20 miles from Lichfield or arrange for a collection from our bakery. Delivery fees range from £0-60 depending on the radius.
HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKE/CUPCAKES?
When moving the box, grab the box from the base with your hand on either side. Make sure you're carrying the box level, do not tilt.
For Collection only:
1.Keep the cake/cupcakes flat. We recommend placing it in the passenger footwell, away from sunlight. Blast the foot aircon on it if it's a hot day!
2.Drive steady. Try to avoid speed bumps and potholes. Put the air con on to keep your car cool.
For delivery:
We always recommend delivery option for a peace of mind, with years of cake delivery experience, we can ensure it arrives safely and stress-free.
We will provide a cake care leaflet which will be attached to your confirmation email.
HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE?
Please store any cakes in the fridge. For optimum eating temperature, we recommend taking the cake out of the fridge about 1-2 hour before serving, placed in a cool and dry place away from any source of heat (sunlight, radiator, hobs, etc).
DO YOU MAKE GLUTEN-FREE BAKES?
We do offer baked goods that are made from Wheat-free ingredients but due to the bakery not being big enough to have a separate gluten-free space, we cannot mark products as Gluten-free. For this reason, we do not recommend these baked goods for anyone who has a Wheat allergy. WHOLESALE AVAILABILITY
At the moment, we don't do wholesale orders.
DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
Postal orders:
Due to the perishable nature of our products, unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds. Once you have placed an order, it is your responsibility to be available to receive the delivery. Please bear in mind our products are fragile so they might break easily during transport and this is out of our control but they will still be delicious! We do our best to package everything securely.
Cake/Cupcake Cancellation:
We can offer you a full refund (exclude additional purchases e.g. flowers, toppers, decorations) if you cancel within 7 days before the date you were booked in but if you cancel anytime after that, we can offer you a 50% refund.
WHAT ABOUT ALLERGIES?
Our cakes and baked goods are made by vegans in a vegan bakery and they do not contain Eggs, Dairy or any animal products. But are not suitable for any allergy sufferers due to some ingredients used may be manufactured in the same area as allergy products. All our cakes and baked goods contain Wheat and Soya. Some contain Peanut and Tree Nuts.
